B is for...

Bubblicious.  Not so inspirational, I know, but I just had to choose this. When I was a little girl, nothing said "treat" bigger when Mom and I went to the grocery store than a pack of chewy, delicious grape flavored Bubblicious bubblegum.  Even as a grown woman in her thirties, whenever I see this cavity-packed sensation, I can't help but smile, recalling all the times my mother told me, "Oh my goodness, the worst thing you can chew! The absolute worst!" And, of course, she would steer me toward the Extra sugarfree spearmint gum.  Which is also a nice recollection, because that's all my mother ever chewed--and still, to this day, chews.  But still.  I wanted the bad stuff, the grape goodness that made the biggest, most awesome bubbles in the world. Indeed, the memory is so sweet (no pun intended), one I'll treasure for a lifetime.

What treat did you treasure most as a child?

Hi Alyssia, nice to meet you. Love that sticky sweet Bubbalicious myself, although I'm a fan of the big pink 'original' bubble gum flavor blob.

I LOVE this choice. Bubblicious was a huge treat for me, too. Plus, it's such a fun word to say.

Stopping by for the A to Z challenge. Nice to meet you. :)

I remember blowing a bubblicious bubble so big once that when it popped it stuck to my face as high as the top of my glasses. I couldn't tell my Dad why my lenses were so gummy because I wasn't supposed to have had it in the first place. Ah, happy days!

I loved Slurpees from the 7-11 (dating myself here) but I also loved Bubblicious - the original in Pink.

My kids loved this gum. Once the sugar was gone, though, it always made my jaw tired as it got tough. =D

Awesome. I remember the gum that came in that tobacco type of pouch and was stringy. Was that Bubblicious too? They would never make that today. Too much like chewing tobacco!

I wasn't a big fan of gum, but I loved bite sized chocolate bars. YUM!

Yeah, that stuff was great, but I also loved Hubba Bubba.
This one time, my cousin blew a bubble bigger then her whole head, and it popped, and the gum enveloped her face and head almost completely. My aunt was so... well, I have no words for the way my aunt responded.
I don't remember what kind of gum, though.

@Laura Barnes: That was Big League Chew.

I was never allowed bubble gum as a kid. Even now, I wish I knew how to blow bubbles :-)
