|BBC's The White Queen with Max Irons & Rebecca Ferguson|
Feels like a lot has happened this week. New Day Job--well, sort of new; I've been there almost 2 months--Little Man got moved to a new class with all the big kids (the room totally reminds me of the daycare in the last Toy Story, no lie), BBC's The White Queen has been kicking butt 'n taking names, Jonathan Rhys Meyers plays Dracula in an upcoming NBC series that looks AWESOME, Will and Kate had a baby, Amanda Bynes finally (finally!!!!!!) got admitted for her... um... issues (and yet her Twitter feed's like a bad train wreck; you just can't look away), Lana Del Rey's dissin' on Lady GaGa...
Speaking of Lana... Le Muse is LOVING her at the moment. The BBB's--Born to Die, Blue Jeans, & Blue Velvet--have been repeating on the iPod, inside the Mini Coop, and at work via Spotify constantly for the past fortnight. If you haven't given her a listen, do it now, now, now. And disregard the fact that my CP calls her Miss Depression.

Which leads me to... how much I'm loving my story. And, no, technically I shouldn't have driven into this topic after the word depression, because this novel is anything but depressing. At least, I don't think it is. Glad we got that straight. Back to the point: Totally Diggin' It. I mean, we're writers; we SHOULD love our stories. But, honestly, sometimes you wanna just chuck it out the window. Sometimes you wanna chuck the whole LAPTOP out the window, because, darn it, why can't this blasted novel just write its own darn self?!!
Lovin' the story. This is the YA, Sci Fi, Historical yet, at the same time, Contemporary, first person, heroine's PoV tale that I started over a year ago, got to... oh... chapter 12 or so and said, "Eh." Well, I've rekindled my fascination with prim, proper, spunky, 19th century bombshell (wow, that was a lot of adjectives... sorry!) Hallelujah and her quest to help futuristic Adris find a cure for our dying human race. It's got a love triangle. Hopefully plenty of page-turning tension and adventure.
So, what's been up with you guys? Are you as stoked as me and my BFF over the royal baby? Lovin' his name? Wonder what sobriquet the public will come up with for him. Should be fun, regardless.

Happy Weekend, Lovies.
